Backstage Theatre is actively seeking additional members to serve on its Board of Directors
Backstage Theatre's Board of Directors is comprised of up to 15 voting members who establish direction
and policies for the theatre. Serving on the Board of Directors is a non-paid position for an approximate
two-year term.
Membership may include duties and responsibilities such as...
ORGANIZATIONAL:
create/monitor Theatre's vision and mission statement,
create/monitor strategic plan for Theatre growth,
create/monitor annual and long-term goals
FINANCIAL:
comply with fiduciary responsibilities,
create/monitor annual budget,
secure resources
STEWARDSHIP:
act ethically and honestly,
remain informed and enhance communication,
attend Board and committee meetings,
contribute time and energy and funds consistent with one's means,
enhance public image of the Theatre
HUMAN RESOURCES:
hire and support and provide guidance to staff members,
create/update staff job descriptions,
manage progress and job performance of staff members,
recruit and train new Board members
