The time is 1968, and Harper's Hardware in Springfield USA is putting on its annual "Holiday Happening." The Marvelous Wonderettes - four exuberant women - reunite for the event in which audience members are fellow employees, friends, and family and have assembled for a night of fun and festivities. The girls transform the hardware store into a winter wonderland (with help from the guys in the lumber department, of course!) and act as masters of ceremonies for this magical evening of sumptuous musical harmonies, high energy dancing, and just the right mixture of sentiment and holiday cheer.

Michelle Marzo plays Betty Jean Reynolds, the self-anointed clown of the group who always vies for special attention from her best friend, Cindy Lou Huffington, a (slightly) reformed bad-girl played by Lenore Carpenter. Melanie Ball performs the role of Missy (Miller) Lee, the over-achiever of the group who controls the evening's events. Susan Harrison plays the delightfully ditzy Suzy (Simpson) Stevens, a happy-go-lucky, giggly, and VERY pregnant comic addition to the group.

A Regional Premiere, "The Marvelous Wonderettes", transform Harper's Hardware Store into a winter wonderland and a rockin' 60's party complete with banter, audience participation, and a bag of surprises.

The festive evening includes musical Christmas standards given zippy new arrangements - including a musical tribute to Christmas around the world and a zany audience participation bell medley - with glorious musical harmonies, high energy dancing, and just the right mix of sentiment and holiday cheer.

Music ranges from old favorites like "Jingle Bell Rock" and "Sleigh Ride" to "We Wanna See Santa Do the Mambo."
