A KidsPlay Workshop
Backstage Theatre is pleased to present Young Actors Playground - a workshop designed for students
ages 8 to 12.
This workshop will be held at the Breckenridge Theatre,

Young Actors Workshop focuses on the fundamentals of improvisation and acting on the stage. Brush up
your acting skills by learning to make creative choices, character building, movement, and tips for
auditioning! Filled with improvisational exercises and games, this class promises to be rewarding and fun!
Workshop instructor is Shelly Bordas, an instructor of theatre for children ages 4-18 for more than 15
years. She has directed for Denver Public Schools, The JCC, Rocky Mountain Hebrew Academy, Cherry Creek
Schools, Gunnison High School, Stage Eleven, Miss Georganne's School of Performing Arts and is
celebrating her 6th year as executive director of ACTING UP; A Theatre Arts Program for Teens in Denver.
Shelly is also an actress who has appeared in many shows at the Arvada Center, Littleton Town Hall,
Theatre On & Off Broadway, and Imagination Makers touring company.
Tuition is $20 per child.
The number of participants in the workshop is limited, and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
