Backstage Theatre presents Theatre Education Program. . .
Backstage Theatre is offering two sessions of its wildly popular theatre workshop program, KidsPlay, to be presented on Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning September 14, 2009.
KidsPlay is open to all first through eighth graders. In the workshop sessions, kids learn through a series of games and fun exercises all about acting, stage presentation, costumes, and other aspects of theatre. The classes culminate in a final presentation for friends and family.
All rehearsals and performances will be held at the Breckenridge Theatre, located at 121 South Ridge Street, Breckenridge, Colorado.
The instructor for these workshops is Laura "Faith" Rohrbacher who has been featured in many Backstage Children's Theatre productions (most recently as Fly the Sheep-Dog in "Babe The Sheep Pig") and has taught previous KidsPlay workshops.
Two sessions will be offered this fall - every Monday from 3:30pm to 5pm (beginning September 14) and every Wednesday from 4:30pm to 6pm (beginning September 16). Final workshop performances will be held the weekend of November 6, 2009. (Specific performance dates and times to be determined.)
Workshop cost is $150 per child. Space is limited to 20 children per session.
Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
