Here is a message from Spamalot's Director Kiana Holmes!

Hello actors! I am so excited to work together and see your amazing auditions! As you are preparing your monologues and songs, I want you to keep in mind that Spamalot is an unapologetically comedic show. The jokes land best when actors are committed to bringing their full selves and aren't afraid to have fun and make silly choices. So please pick a song you love to sing (don't forget to act in your singing audition too!) and a monologue with big acting choices. Worry less about your auditions being "perfect" and more about sharing what you love to do- The more fun you have making these audition tapes, the more fun we have watching them!

At the start of your submission, please include a slate by filming yourself sharing your name, grade, and your favorite joke. A slate is an opportunity for the casting team to see who you are!

Break a Leg! -Kiana Holmes, Spamalot Director

If you have any questions please email miranda@backstagetheatre.org

We can't wait to see your auditions!

ABOUT THE STUDENT THEATRICAL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM

Student Theatre Enrichment Program: Our STEP program will celebrate its tenth year in 2025 with Finding Nemo, Jr. Youth who participate in the Student Theatre Enrichment Program receive instruction from industry professionals in acting, singing, dancing, and other elements of theatre as they prepare to present a fully produced production at the end of the program for the public. There is no cost for any child to participate in this program, allowing any child who wants to have a professional acting experience the chance to get involved. The STEP program draws youth from both Summit and Park counties, from Fairplay to Alma to Silverthorne and beyond with students from economically diverse communities.
